KC Jones Plating Co.’s automated high-performance coating with corrosion protection far exceeds conventional zinc processes. Our zinc alloy plating process offers proven corrosion resistance up to 1,000 hours, the highest in the plating industry.

Zinc Barrel and Rack Plating

C&R Plating Corporation has multiple processes including automatic rack plating lines and semi-automatic barrel plating lines. These lines offer many different types of zinc plating and chromate colors, and process everything from small fittings to large tubes. Our special chromate finishing processes produce the brightest and most consistent colors in the industry. C&R is capable of processing any lot size that customers require. We have redundant capability, and can process most customer parts on multiple lines.

Corrosion Resistance

Zinc plating is a cost-effective way to improve corrosion resistance. Up to 500 hours of salt spray can be reached when using superseal coatings. Zinc-nickel plating offers up to 1000 hours of salt spray resistance.

Post-Plating Reduces Costs

KC Jones zinc alloys create ductile coatings that allow a full range of post-plate forming operations, greatly reducing customer manufacturing costs. Among these operations are bending, crimping and flaring processes not possible with conventional plated or painted finishes. Unlike barrel processing, which often damages zinc coatings, the KC Jones automated rack line delivers consistently unblemished products.

Accepts All Colors

This environmentally safe, cost-effective alternative to cadmium and cyanide zinc accepts a full range of chromate colors for final finishes. These include blue-bright, yellow, olive and green, plus a true black, without the need for silver. For greater corrosion protection, silicate sealants, oils, acrylic lacquers, copolymer resins and organic coatings also are applicable.

Custom Formulations

Versatility is an essential part of our engineered zinc or zinc-alloy processes. Depending on performance needs, deposits can include varying levels of corrosion protection.
