Spirit of Detroit Statue
The Spirit of Detroit, created by world-renowned sculptor Marshall M. Fredericks, has kept watch at the entrance of the City County Building in downtown Detroit for a half-century. The 16-foot bronze statue symbolizes the city’s rich 300-year history and industrial might. The gilded bronze symbols cradled in the palms of the enduring figure were proudly plated by KC Jones.
